Purchase Tickets in Advance: Tours sell out quickly, please book well in advance to increase your chances of getting the date, time, and number of tickets you prefer.  Tickets can be purchased with Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. If you would rather not purchase your ticket online, please call us at (571) 721-9845 or send us an email at

Proof of Ticket Purchase: You don’t have to print out the ticket. A confirmation email will be sent to you. We can scan the QR code on your confirmation email to check you in.

Waiting list: Please email to let us know which date/s you are interested in and we’ll get back to you if we plan to add more tours or if space opens up.

Tipping the Tour Guide: Tips are not included in the ticket price nor is it required but it is always greatly appreciated. 

Cancellation Policy: We have a 48-hour refund policy. No refund will be provided for cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance, or in case of late arrivals and no-show. This is applicable to any tour participant that fails to arrive, or arrives after tour departure.

 Age restrictions: We recommend that any children on the tour be 8+ years of age, as small children may not find the experience very fun, or entertaining.  Alcoholic beverages will only be served to guests 21+ years of age.

We suggest doing a private tour if you are coming with young children under the age of 8-years-old. Our group tours do move at a set pace, which is why we suggest a private tour where you can go at a pace that is comfortable for your child and you can stop when needed.

Weather: Please check the 5 day forecast. We go out rain, snow or shine, but if you prefer not to, the 5 day weather forecast will help you to cancel within 48 hours. In extreme cases, however, we do reserve the right to cancel tours if the weather conditions are dangerous and would call you at least 2.5 hours before your tour if this were the case.

Private tours for groups: Yes, of course!  If you book well enough in advance, we can usually adapt our content, route, and timeline to accommodate the needs of your group.  To inquire about and/or schedule a group tour, please write us at or call us at (571) 721-9845. If we do not answer the phone, please be sure to leave a message with your name, number, and we’ll get back with you within 24 hours.

Meeting Point: The designated meeting place for each tour will be listed on your confirmation email.

What to wear: Be comfortable! Dress appropriately for the weather. If it’s raining outside, make sure to dress appropriately and bring an umbrella.  If it’s cold, bundle up!  Make sure you have good walking shoes.

Shopping on the tour: That’s part of the experience! At most stops on our food tours, you will interact with chefs and restaurant owners, have an opportunity to learn new culinary tricks and trends, and have fun with fellow "foodies." You can also come back after the tour and take more time to shop as well.

Gift Certificates: Urban Crawls gift certificates are available for dollar amounts or by the tour. They can be processed automatically through our website for dollar amounts or by phone by the tour. You can buy them online to learn more or give us a call at (571) 721-9845 if you'd rather order by phone.

Languages: Tours are offered in English and in Spanish

Food Allergies: We try to provide food substitutions for VEGETARIANS on our food tours. During registration you will have the opportunity to inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions.  We work with our tour partners to do everything we can to accommodate your needs.

Due to the pre-planning and prepping for each experience, we are unable to accommodate new or updated dietary restrictions upon arrival or during the tour experience. We also CANNOT make food substitutions for any other food allergies/preferences (such as dairy-free, nut-free, vegan). We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Amount of Walking: Not more than you can handle! The pace is usually good for everyone. There might be stairs that we navigate during the tour. If stairs are a problem for you or any of your guests, please indicate that when you purchase your tickets so we can do our best to accommodate your needs.
